Responsible for administration, databases and support of HR initiatives as directed. This is a teaching internship whereby training and development will be provided. This internship opportunity is a hands on training program to prepare for an HR generalist position. Accepting college freshman to seniors. Length of internship varies.
1. Applicants
a) logging/evaluation/scheduling hourly interviews
b) logging/pre-screening salary candidates for interviews under the direction of HR Manager
2. Job Fairs
a) attending and preparing documents/posters for offsite job fairs
3. New Hire Onboarding - hourly associates
a) scheduling, handling under the direction of the HR Manager
4. Compliance
a) I-9 administration/record retention
5. Database Management
a) Mentor/Buddy Program
b) Discipline Log
c) Discipline documents
d) reports as requested
6. Communication
a) assisting with communications for HR
b) updating compliance and bulletin boards
7. Job Descriptions/Functional Analysis
a) updating as requested
8. Special Projects
a) as directed and as part of training and development
Qualifications:
1. Currently attending and working toward a degree in Human Resources
2. Microsoft Office skills
3. Confidentiality and professionalism
